Nowadays, almost every people tend to be the leader in their societies. They want manage everything appropriate with their goals and dreams. In fact, being a leader is difficult to do because it has big responsibilities. Each leader has different type personality, but the major personality types of leaders that be role models are charismatic, innovative, and communicator.

Perhaps the major personality type of leader is charismatic. A charismatic leader has behavior to inspire passion and to influence others through power of personality. The charismatic leader usually pay a great deal of attention in scanning and reading their environment. They are good person in picking up the moods and concerns of both individuals and societies. Besides, they will hone their actions and words to suit the situation.

Another type of leader is innovative. The innovative leaders never stop learning and often reading or researching. They are very curious people and often look for feedback to, hoping to improve what they are doing. These types of leaders are good at creating a culture where learning is very important and everyone is encouraged to do it.

The last type of leader is communicator. Some leaders are great orators, but speaking well is not all required of a leader. As we all know, there are lots of people who talk a great but deliver nothing. Leaders who communicate well are not only share their thoughts but also let their strength and personal character show through in their communication.

Whichever types of leaders – charismatic, innovative and communicator – being a leader has big responsibilities. Regardless of the type of leaders, I believe that leaders are not born. Leaders are made by effort and hard work. If we want to be leader, the best way is forced ourselves to analyze our own strengths and weaknesses.

Similarities of Teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta

As Metropolitan Cities, Bandung and Jakarta are the role models for teenagers other cities, especially who live in Java Islands. Most of the teenagers style in Bandung and Jakarta will be imitated by other teenagers who don’t want to be said outdated or lack of socialization. In fact, both Bandung and Jakarta are the fastest cities in accepting and absorbing current technologies and information. If we see between Bandung and Jakarta teenagers, there are similarities in some aspects such as in appearances, social activities and technology utilization. 

Appearance of teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta is one of similarities that they have. Their appearance usually looks so stylish, trendy and well-dressed which distinguish them from other teenagers. In appearance, both of these cities teenagers have same fashion style. Teenagers will quickly adopt fashion style from their favorite artists or musician. They can easily own famous brands that are worn by their favorite artists or musician in many factory outlets or boutiques in each city. If they can’t afford to buy original branded items, they rely on marketplace websites/portals to catch on trends. Teenagers also easily show off their fashion style by uploading some pictures in social media like facebook and instagram. They will feel proud if their pictures get positive comments from their friends.

Both Bandung and Jakarta Teenagers have quite similar social activities, especially in spending leisure time. Almost all teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta prefer to spend their leisure time with their friends rather than with their family. For teenagers in Bandung, they prefer to spend time in cafeterias that offer unique cuisine and beverages while teenagers in Jakarta prefer to spend time in malls. On the other hand, teenagers will be more delightful to do their school tasks together in cafeteria. In addition, not rarely they will take some pictures together and upload interesting photo in social media to show and tell other users about things or activities that they do.

Nowadays, current trends Teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta are related to technology utilization especially in smartphone. Almost every Teenager in Bandung and Jakarta has at least one smartphone. Smartphone is used not only to communicate (by means of phone calls or SMS) but also to extend the usage of social media. With smartphone their lifestyle changing. For example, teenagers life become more transparent than before. Everything they talk, communicate, act will be recorded. Besides, because of smartphone usage, teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta make their life less interactive and lonelier as people live in the addictive smartphone world. 

In the end, teenagers in Bandung and Jakarta have similarity in lifestyle. They always look up to date in fashion, information and technology. Deciding which teenagers have better appearances are difficult to do. Thus, I believe that similarities between Bandung and Jakarta teenagers are influenced by information and technology that they get easily.
